The iconic Tense Material collection, designed by Piergiorgio and Michele Cazzaniga, highlights the materiality of the finishes, ensuring an exclusive tactile experience. The minimalist and rigorous design of the tables conveys elegance and simplicity while concealing advanced technological innovation. The top, with a thickness of just 35mm, can reach lengths of up to four meters thanks to internal tension, allowing the collection to effortlessly adapt to any space, from compact domestic settings to more spacious professional studios.
In the Wood version, the three fine finishes, including thermo-treated oak, carbonised oak, and Italian Walnut, add an exclusive touch to the collection. The prominent veins, the textured surfaces, and the warm tones of the wood make each table unique, giving warmth to the environments. The refined yet essential profile of Tense Material Wood allows it to harmoniously dialogue with a variety of styles, while the possibility to include up to two top-access panels and under-top cable trays makes it an ideal choice for use as a desk or workstation.
Frame
Steel legs with a 35x35 mm section and internal structural tie-rod. The 35 mm thick tabletop is a load-bearing composite board built with an internal frame consisting of either aluminium profile and polystyrene filler.
Wood
3 mm thick natural oak solid wood, with thermal bio-treatment got through the combined use of heat and steam, without adding any chemical additives.
Heat treatment transforms the features of the wood itself. The beauty of wood remains unaltered, heat treatment varies its colour without resorting to any chemical dyes, without using any harmful substances, taking on quite a natural and unique shade.
Carbonised wood
Same characteristics as oak, but through a natural surface acid etching treatment, the distinctive “burning” appearance is achieved.
Italian Walnut
Fine wood, in Italian walnut, transparent acrylic finish. Edges and legs covered in 2 mm-thick cut walnut, processed with sawed effect: series of irregular cuts of different depths. Top covered in 2 mm-thick wood, fine smooth finish with variable slats which give the surface a distinctive array of shades, exalting the natural characteristics of the wood and raw material
Top-access
The tables are also available in the version equipped with 1 or 2 top-access and under top cable try. The top-access is available in three versions: single lead with soft closing, double lead or optional, the single lead with soft closing, with inlay in the same finish of the table.
The metal cable trays are telescopic (H7/H10 cm), to host various wiring systems.
