"To design by simplifying, to extrapolate the essence”.
This is the philosophy behind the Tense table, designed by Piergiorgio and Michele Cazzaniga. An iconic table that embodies the concept of pure, essential, and timeless furniture. Tense is a table system distinguished by its rigorous and cohesive aesthetic: its monomaterial finishes cover the legs, edges, and top, creating a sense of absolute compactness and linearity. Its contemporary design effortlessly adapts to any environment.
At the heart of Tense lies a technologically advanced structure. Thanks to an innovative internal tension system, it ensures stability and lightness, even in its large-scale versions. The table can reach up to 4 meters in length while maintaining a perfect balance between form and function. The versatility of Tense is reflected in its wide range of sizes, making it suitable for both intimate spaces and large open areas or dining rooms.
The finishes include refined materials such as Solid Surface, Fenix, and laminate, available in matt or glossy versions, elegantly complementing both classic and contemporary interiors while maintaining an impeccable aesthetic.
Frame
Steel legs with a 35x35 mm section and internal structural tie-rod. The acrylic resin coating is in the same matt colours as the tabletop.
The 35 mm thick tabletop is a load-bearing composite board built with an internal frame consisting of either aluminium profiles and polystyrene filler (matt white version), or an acrylic resin honeycomb and two outer layers of aluminium (matt black or medium grey version).
Solid Surface
White solid surface, made of acrylic resin and rock minerals. Tabletop, edges and legs covered with a 3 mm thick sheet of resin.
Fenix
Matt fenix, made from acrylic resin and high-pressure stratified laminate of the latest generation. Tabletop in stratified laminate with mass colouration, edges and legs in acrylic resin and rock minerals.
Laminate
Solid Core laminate top with a thickness of 1.2 mm, edges and legs made of 3 mm thick acrylic resin.
Finish available only for the 73 cm height; for the 90/100 cm heights, availability upon request.
Top-access
The tables are also available in the version equipped with 1 or 2 top-access and under top cable try. The top-access is available in three versions: single lead with soft closing, double lead or optional the single lead with soft closing, with inlay in the same finish of the table.
The metal cable trays are telescopic (H7/H10 cm), to host various wiring systems.
