The Universal collection, designed by Jean Marie Massaud, stands out for its exceptional versatility, making it ideal for the contract sector. Its elegant lines and outstanding ergonomics also make it perfect for the sophisticated environments of the hospitality world.
Available in both chair and armchair versions, the innovation of this project lies in its three-dimensional backrest, crafted from two curved elements paired and assembled, embodying a perfect blend of industrial design and artisanal craftsmanship. As its name suggests, this seating family is defined by its flexibility: the seat plate is designed to accommodate a variety of bases and backrest types, allowing for endless configurations to meet the evolving needs of workspaces.
Its timeless design enhances any context, while its focus on sustainability, including the ability to disassemble every component, makes it a cutting-edge project aligned with modern demands. The desire to offer both visual and tangible comfort is reflected in the extensive research that guided the development of the backrest, establishing Universal as a collection that elevates the standards of the contract sector.
Wooden backrest
The 3D effect is obtained from two curved elements, joined and assembled, available in oak or canaletto walnut finishes. Optional bumpers.
Fully upholstered backrest
Load-bearing shell in tubular metal padded with polyurethane foam.
Fully upholstered seat
Seat comprising foam injection moulded polypropylene shell with polyurethane foam rubber.

Die-cast aluminium with a matt micro-embossed finish or polished aluminium. Fixed version on request.
