Reduced to its most essential elements, Piergiorgio Cazzaniga's Tense Material Table is a study in design simplicity and engineering innovation. Constructed with an aluminum inner framework surrounding a filling of polystyrene, the table is able to span distances of up to four meters while retaining its slender form of only 35mm. Its carefully studied proportions and refined details are highlighted by the selection of materials such as natural or carbonized oak, Italian walnut, brass, lacquered red, specially reconstructed marble, or stone. The result is an eye-catching table that seems to defy the laws of physics the longer it gets. Essential and refined, the table is available in a variety of sizes and five heights to suit different uses from the dining room to a low table in the living room. The table is also perfectly suited for office environments with its complete range of cable management solutions.

 

CONFIGURE YOURS

  • WOOD

    Natural oak, carbonised effect or Italian walnut. The characteristics of each wood are maintained unaltered and the occurrence of visual and tactile irregularities of the surface are signs of authenticity and evidence of craftsmanship that make each product unique.

     

  • GLOSSY RED

    Colour and depth: Tense Diamond was developed according to the ancient technique of Chines lacquer. The colour, applied by hand, is rich in shadows while the surface is smooth and shiny.

     

  • MARBLE & STONE

    Brilliance and solidity. This particular finish, reconstructed marble, is made starting with white Carrara Marble or black ebony dust that is spread manually over the entire surface of the table. 

    Stone, cleverly reconstructed, reproduces the sedimentation process of river sandstones. This reclaimed stone-based blend enables to get quite a natural and smooth surface, soft to the touch.

     

  • BRASS

    Smooth and rigorous, recalls ancient gold
    Revive any space in which it is used.
