We are honored to announce that the Associazione per il Disegno Industriale (ADI) and the Fondazione ADI have awarded Umberto Cassina, MDF Italia chairman, the prestigious Compasso D'Oro Career Award, 28th Edition.

Born in 1954 from an idea of Gio Ponti, today Compasso D'Oro is the most important award in the world of design. The long and scientific selection process, which lasts two years and involves a permanent observatory of about 150 experts, gives prestige and exclusivity to the award, synonymous with excellence and quality.

Through the Compasso D'Oro Career Award, ADI and Fondazione ADI recognize in the figure of Umberto Cassina an undisputed protagonist of the Italian design culture, who with courage and clarity has guided the company with a constant eye towards the future and keeping alive the spirit of innovation.

Raised in the family company, Cassina, in 2007 he joined MDF Italia, bringing a breath of innovation. Thanks to the strong relationship with the designer Jean Marie Massaud, the MDF Italia collection has been enriched with iconic products, such as Yale, Compasso D’Oro in 2011, and Flow, which for fifteen years has evolved adapting to new needs and styles.
